  1. Oooh, I love it! It looks so warm and cosy and grown up all at the same time! (Or maybe everything that’s not covered in toddler’s writing on the walls and a huge array of plastic junk looks "grown up" to me these days…)

Adore those sofas. Hello Habitat, I’m on the hunt for a new sofa too!

  2. Looks lush. Perfect and cozy for the autumn/winter. Our sofas are needing replacing- we thought we would be clever and got leather- wipeable for kids and dogs. It’s done well. I’m too scared to get a new sofa though! It’s still being used as a trampoline most days I can’t imagine us being precious! So so jealous of your stove.

  3. It’s beautiful, Annie. I love all your choices. I returned from Switzerland having completely fallen for white walls but two years back in the UK have me yearning slightly for colour. That could be next year’s project!

  4. it looks great Annie. you did a great job at picking the color. it’s soothing and calming and that whole space is saying snuggle. love that print! i may have to order one. and there we are cardinals and dogwood. yup, cardinals in the back of this new house and two dogwoods right in the front. how funny! we also don’t have any pictures hanging in our house. not of us, not of anything. my paintings however are hanging. xx

  5. Great room, love the colour! I struggle with choosing colours, and often end up going for cream and adding colour through furnishings. However, we did choose grey for our living room and I love it. Your wood burner is lovely, as are the sofas. H&M do lovely velvet cushion covers in shades which blend in very well with your sofa. Your current cushion makes me smile as I grew up with a sofa and armchairs covered in a very similar William Morris print in the same colours!

  6. Your living room looks gorgeous! Love the colour – I’m a fan of white walls aswell but I’m also torn between the fresh look of white and the cosiness of colour. Pleased to see a crochet blanket in there too, all the best living rooms have one…

  7. Ah now I’m a dark colours fan, especially in a small room. My kitchen is white for the feeling of light and space (ours is a dark house generally), but painting our living room white would have made it feel sad and cold – it just doesn’t have enough natural light. So it’s pink – deep rose pink, with chocolate sofas and cushions. It makes it cosy – a room to snuggle down in and watch movies on a winter’s evening. Just like yours. Love the colours to lift it on the sofa.

  8. So beautiful. I love rich colours and the way your treasures stand out against them.
We just painted our living room Moonstone Grey. It’s actually a pale green and a bit too tasteful and pedestrian for me but I’ll be buggered if I’m picking up another paint roller any time soon.
Love that bird print and I’m nicking the faux berries idea πŸ™‚

  9. loving this Annie, and it’s so you! I’ve been drooling over the Habitat website a little recently, and you made a good choice there. that fireplace is crying out for a sheepskin rug, or a big fluffy shag pile πŸ˜‰

  10. What a beautiful room! I love it and that colour is just beautiful. Our living room is wallpapered on one wall and the other walls are a teal, made to match a part of the wallpaper. I just wish we could have new flooring; we’ve got ugly brown carpet and it just doesn’t go. Although we do have a rug but it’s filthy now!
