123. Marchwood Inclosure (in October)

Marchwood Inclosure

Marchwood Inclosure

Marchwood Inclosure is a place where I spend a lot of time. Not only is it a beautiful place to explore but it's fun for kids as there's always impromptu dens to be found. I run here daily and one morning this week I re-traced my steps post-run with my camera. There's so much to see all year round and it's ever changing - at the moment the purple heather has been replaced by morning spider webs clad with raindrops which shine like jewels.

Running at Marchwood Inclosure

If you turn off the A326 at Applemore roundabout to Marchwood Inclosure and drive along a quarter of a mile, you can park in the gravel parking area (for free) on the left. From here there's a circular route around Marchwood Inclosure that is the perfect length for anyone training to run 5k. It can get muddy at this time of the year but that all adds to the 'running in the forest' charm I think!
