Black Fox Woodland Produce is a local company, set up my my husband's cousin and his father. When I heard they were burning charcoal I legged it down there as fast as  I could to catch part of the burning process. It was fascinating to watch and I will be heading back soon to learn more and share more photos, in the meantime I hope you enjoy these photos...

Set in 70 acres of land at Awbridge, Hampshire we use our 20 acres of grassland and 50 acres of woodland to produce woodland products using traditional methods and new technology, a special burner, an Exeter Retort. Our steel burner, weighs one and a half tonnes, and was the first of its kind in Hampshire. The design won the makers the Devon “Low Carbon Innovative Business” award in 2012
