Now I'm not what you'd call an organised person. I don't have a diary, I don't use notebooks and the thought of a whiteboard fills me with dread. I'm a creative spirit darrrrling *swirls in a carefree manner* though I do love stationery. Depending on the type of person you are that will either sound like an unorganized idea of hell or it will make perfect sense.
I am a sucker for a pretty notebook, a decent pen (fountain or gel) and desk storage. I may never actually use the notebook but if it looks nice then I want it. My husband calls me fickle, I prefer the term 'fine purveyor of beautiful things'. And now I am part of the Order of the Pen. Ok, maybe that's a tad over-dramatic, but I am part of a small group of bloggers who will be choosing stationery from Bureau Direct each month and writing a post to share my choice(s) and thoughts.
If you haven't come across Bureau Direct before, you can find them here > bureaudirect.co.uk. They have a huge range of stationery goodness and a really fab weekly email called Stationery Wednesday - and when you sign up to it you'll receive a 10% discount code on the first Wednesday of each month.
This month I've chosen this beauty...
Field Notes archival wooden box. Oh I love it. Surprisingly roomy it's not only a pretty thing but a great way of storing information - or in my case, bits and bobs. It's deep too, dimensions are at the bottom of this post, and it's the perfect size for storing photos and polaroids in too - handy stuff as I recently bought an old Polaroid camera. So far I've added in some vintage cards that I've been keeping for inspiration...
And some very old photographs...
And I've spaces to segment blogging bits too...
So next time I have a blogging-related idea I can jot on some paper and keep it safe and dare I say it, organised, until I need it. The amount of ideas that I've had only to forget is mind-boggling so I am hoping that this box will be my saviour.
So how about you - are you a super-organised person who loves stationery or like me, someone who is completely unorganised but cannot resist the temptation of good looking stationery? Share and tweet using the hashtag #LOVEstationery !
