I recently spent a few days in Cornwall with Kitty and Ozzy, staying at a luxury holiday apartment at Hawkes Point. Located in Carbis Bay, Hawkes Point provides a lovely base to explore the area. There are 6 beaches all within a 45 minute walk including the Blue Flag beach at Carbis Bay, a 5 minute walk from the apartments.
Access to the apartments is through a secure gate for which you recieve the code once you have booked. Once in the car park there is an allocated car parking space per apartment. The apartment that we stayed in was called Wingtips, and consisted of:
Kitchen, with washer / drier (super handy to be able to wash clothes whilst holidaying!), over, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and all the kitchenware you could ever need with Villeroy & Boch china.
Living room, with large screen TV, Nintendo Wii, Freeview & Apple tv, dvd player and range of family friendly dvds, sofa and chairs, table and chairs, dresser and bookcase.
Hallway, with large entrance area including cupboard containing a hoover, ironing board, iron etc.
Bathroom, well appointed with fluffy towels, robes and Molton Brown toiletries.
Bedroom, twin or superkind bed (you choose) with feather and down duvet, dressing table, wardrobe, en suite bathroom with shower
Double bedroom, bed with feather and down duvet, dressing table, wardrobe.
There’s underfloor heating throughout the apartment.
Our experience at Hawkes Point:
Having the facilities that this apartment offers made our break a lot easier and more flexible. When we walked back from the beach all soggy from some over-adventurous wave jumping it was great to be able to pop one child in the shower and another in the bath whilst I put a load in the washing machine.
The kitchen gave us the option of eating in (as well as bringing Cornish pasties back!) and the local Tesco is only a 3 minute drive in the car.
The kids loved the Wii and watching a film each night after a long day out exploring – and if they are happy then I am happy! The WiFi was lightning fast too and more than coped with all three of us being on separate devices.
We loved getting to know the local area better and people are really friendly, I’ll share some of our days out whilst staying at Hawkes Point soon, we got out and about a lot!
Prices start from £225 based on a group of 2 staying 2 nights. For more information or to book please visit www.hawkes-point.co.uk.
