As you can see, I’ve been playing with some of the standard Photoshop filters again (last time it was the oil painting effect). This time it’s the ‘Cut Out’ filter.
Simply open a photo in Photoshop and select Filter > Convert to Smart Filters > Filter Gallery > Out Out and play about with the slider settings, which are Number of Levels, Edge Simplicity and Edge Fidelity.
Use it on portraits and it gives a rather Pop Art look. ..
I liked this effect so much, and how it makes things a bit rough edged and chunky!
