Wisteria, Azaleas & Rhododendrons at Exbury Gardens
Two words - Wisteria Hysteria! The Sundial Garden at Exbury Gardens is one of my favourite spots and although the garden itself will not be in full bloom till the Summer the Wisteria is representing in a BIG way at the moment. Twisted round a stone arbour this wisteria is such an impressive sight. Many an afternoon last year we spent sat on the bench beneath this beauty, happy happy memories. Kitty has been asking if it's in bloom yet so I'll be taking her back in half term next week to see it for herself (if the rain doesn't batter it first).
As I walked around it yesterday I could hear the 'Ahhs' and 'Ooos' of people turning the corner into the garden, their eyes meeting the wisteria. It was a little like being at a firework display! I can see why they made the noises though. Personally I gave a little 'squeee' sound.
Elsewhere in Exbury the azaleas and rhododendrons are out in force, colour everywhere. I couldn't believe the change in the garden in the two weeks since I last visited.
