Home again. The trip to Kenya was predictably amazing, life affirming and indeed changing. We laughed, we learnt, we cried, experiencing and bonding together, us three women that fate flung together. I came away feeling empowered and motivated, I feel on the cusp of change, I want to DO something positive, meaningful.
The day I came home I walked with Kitty, both of us desperate to amble through the muddy New Forest, to chat and soak up the peace. For Kitty it was a chance to ask the 6785 questions she had stored up about the trip. For me it was a chance to reintegrate with the woodland, to feel the mother daughter bond once again and to look both back and forward.
Quite a different walk to those over the weekend, I’ll add photos from those very different walks on foreign soil up soon.
