The walk

Hawkhill Inclosure, The New Forest. I parked up and heading right, following the fence along the outside of the inclosure before passing through a gate on the left and walking back through the inclosure itself. At the moment you can find last glimpses of pink from the heather, ferns turning brown, fungi sprouting everywhere, pinecones and acorns.

Hawkhill Inclosure also has a cycle route - you can read / print out Hampshire County Councils pdf map here: http://www.hants.gov.uk/rh/cycling/hawkhill.pdf

Today some photos from my new love affair, wandering about the New Forest in the morning once I've dropped the children at school. As you might already know, I've been a bit emotional about Ozzy starting school, the silence of an empty house, and a walk each morning has made me feel so much better. In fact I've enjoyed it so much I've taken a weeny step back from the internet as a whole, I mean Twitter is a jolly nice place and all but can I walk amongst a blanket of dew covered spiders webs there?
