91. How Does Your Garden Grow?
That's it, I've finally lost the plot! I had a post ready for today and then I sat and looked at it last night and just felt really 'meh' and uninspired.
I found a smashing tea rooms and small gardens whilst out on a drive this week, just past Lymington called Braxton Gardens. The tea rooms are just the most beautiful ones I've seen, however the gardens are rather colourless at this time of year. It's the same everywhere and that's certainly not a criticism of the gardens, in fact I'm really looking forward to returning in a couple of months once colour starts to appear.
No bulbs have come up in my garden and I can't find growing daffodils anywhere yet, though I did visit a rather lovely Snowdrop Wood (more photos from that here).
And so this week I've been forced to do something drastic - bring colour inside. Yes my friends I've raided Waitrose's bargain flower bucket to pep myself up. Renegade I know, but whilst I do love to see the beauty in all things seasonal the shades of brown and occasional fleck of green are getting a bit monotonous now.
Next week I'll be out and about all week, catching up with friends and enjoying the half-term break, and that means a trip to RHS Wisley so proper garden photos will resume as normal then - and apologies for a bit of a cheat this week, the craving for colour was just too much for me to bear.
Thanks to all who joined in last week, some faves include: Beautiful snowy scenes from Kriss, close up to frozen things with Wealden Woman, allotment plot joy from Emma, unusual levels of plot panic from Rosie and a whole different side to Disney from Claudia.
