120. RHS Wisley

'Jade Fingers'

'Jade Fingers'

At the weekend we visited RHS Wisley with the lovely Victoria. In my experience it's these impromptu meet ups that are often great and this was no exception. Oh yes, and whilst I have you here I must apologise for the lack of future Meet Ups, I'll be adding a new one this evening after Clarina told me about a pumpkin farm that sounds like a jolly seasonal place to arrange a meet up - keep 'em peeled!

Wisley was wonderful as always and there's still so much colour there, I love how it's planted to show all year round, that's the only grumble I have about local Exbury Gardens, post-October there's really not much colour there at all. Tomorrow I'll be sharing photos from the Trials Field at Wisley, which boasts a lovely display of dahlias at the moment, amongst other things. So more on that tomorrow - but for now, here's a few sights from around Wisley at the moment...

Outside of the Glasshouse, I loved peeking through the Vegetable Garden Keeper's shed window.

We may have picked up a few wind-falled apples and we may have taken them home and they may have been stewed when we got home and served with lashings of creamy custard. Yum.

Thanks for reading this rather photo-heavy post, I thought I'd mix it up a bit this week with some different photo / text layouts - I'd love to know what you think, do they look ok or are they a bit lame?

Thanks to all who joined in last week, some fave include: The ever-so-like-a-creme-egg bush, the pumpkin-fest, some garden therapy,  the big plough and the teeny tiny mushrooms.
