HDYGG 65. Alpine House, RHS Wisley

I’ve needed to look at gardens more than ever this week, the mixture of having to blog and work online in the evenings every night so I can spend days with the children and the stress of knowing that the builders are coming on Monday to start our extension works has left my head spinning somewhat.

In our garden, things are moving along nicely, our lettuces are now all gone and replaced with a selection of herbs and our tomatoes have finally started to change colour – is there anything better than a juicy home grown tomato, sliced in half and dipped in a light sprinkling of sea salt? I think not!

This week I’ve gone for a selection of photos that have given me inspiration over the past couple of weeks, things I’d love to do here in my own garden next year…

This tiered planter that I spotted by the Alpine House at RHS Wisley comprises of three staggered terracotta pots, planted up with a selection of succulents and alpines – I think it looks simply beautiful.

Whilst I’m on the subject of succulents, I’ve been thinking how good looking a blanket of them would be, again Wisley inspiration.

On a completely different note now, the vegetable garden at Wisley inspired me too, mainly that I NEEEEEED a greenhouse in my life!

And last but not least – just the most awesome colours…

Thanks to all who joined in last week and apologies that I haven’t managed to get a photo round up out this week, as I say, it’s been a busy old week what with Camp Bestival at the weekend. Some faves include: Making willow plant supports, a dream garden, backlit blooms, my local Exbury Gardens and some watering.
