72. How Does Your Garden Grow?
Happy Birthday to us, Happy Birthday to us, Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday.... Happy Birthday to us! One whole year of How Does Your Garden Grow?! Where's the time gone?! I was stood in my mums garden at the weekend, taking photos of all things bright and beautiful and smiled to myself contentedly remembering that it was exactly this time of the year that inspired the whole weekly garden post series, I also amazed myself at the number of plants I actually knew the names for that I didn't know a year back! How Does Your Garden Grow? is the unintentional linky that picked up a bit of momentum and love along the way and now it's by far the highlight of my blogging week, the one day that I really get far too excited about sitting down and looking through the posts linked up.
This week I'm celebrating the 3 gardens I spend the most time in with some photos -my mothers, grandads and my own.
First up, colour galore in my mother's garden...
above three: tree peonies, I'd not heard of these till my mother showed me
above: Ranunculus I love you all
above: this is destined to be set next to the summerhouse when it's been finished
And over in Grandad's Garden...
above: the greenhouse smells of tomatoes at the moment, it's just the best scent ever
Finally, my garden. I'll be writing a proper post about making the raised beds and the Rocket Gardens veggies in a day or two, but for now, here's how it's looking one week in...
above: grow lettuce grow!
above: pea-sticks supplied by grandad, bamboo from the local nurseries and the guinea pigs have moved from indoors to outdoors
Some faves from last week now: the scatterbrain Katie with the stunning alium close ups, Potty Gemma, Emma getting close up, Claudia talking us on a walk, the 'Dew on Dandelion Queen', Charmaine and the Gibberd Garden, Emma and her tulip riot, Jane the bamboo slayer and her tyre planters, fellow new raised bedder and Caroline with the most stunning garden I've seen in a long time.
Huge thanks to everyone who has joined in over the past year from the hardcore every weekers to those who dip in as and when - you've made this past year a very happy one!
Each week I add my fave photos added to my Love Gardening Pinterest Board, which you can find here (and poke me if I'm not already following you on Pinterest!) Follow Love All Blogs .com's board Love Gardening on Pinterest.
