Oh yes I FINALLY found blossom. Honestly I was so excited standing on a Sunday afternoon in grandads garden with the sun beating down on my face, snapping away, beaming from ear to ear. Everything seems to be growing, buds on the 2 year old apple on my own garden are furry but just about to burst, granddads rhubarb wad grown about 20 cm from the last time I shared photos a fortnight ago.
Visiting grandad and seeing his board beans bamboo sticks all up ready for Summer was an instant slap-in-the-face reminder that this is the most exciting time of the year, the time where everything is just setting out on the journey to the blooming marvel of Summer. More of you lovely folk are joining in each week now - it's as if nature is shaking people and saying 'wake up and looks at meeeeeee'. I flipping love it.
And now for a last-of-the-birthday flowers alert..
VERY EXCITING NEWS: Charly from PODcast and I have been chattering away and are planning on meeting up in the Easter school. If anyone is interested in a day out at RHS Wisely on Monday 14th April with us let me know!
Even better it happens to be National Gardening Week then too - perfect... 'The RHS will be curating this national celebration of all things green. Hundreds of gardens, cultural organisations, museums, heritage sites, charities and businesses will be getting involved. The aim of National Gardening Week in 2014 is to encourage people and organisations to come together to celebrate and learn about gardening or help keep their neighbourhoods, environments and shared spaces beautiful through gardening. Our tagline for this will be ‘Start Something Beautiful.’ The RHS will be running events and projects throughout the week as well as providing resources and guides around this theme. '
Thank you to all who joined in last week, faves include: The enormous beetroot, the cleanest pinecone, the happiness of seeing chickens in the garden, the pruner and planter, the night hibiscus, the mini-garden and a manila garden. But honestly every post linked up was fabulous, picking faves was so tough.
