I've spent most of this year saying 'is it <insert month> here already?!' June has crept up on me, as have the gardens bursting into colour. A combination of working and travelling a lot of late I suspect, but I've not been outdoors nearly as much as I used to and have missed all those little signs that when noticed blends the seasons seamlessly.

One place that I always try to visit at this time each year is National Trust's Mottisfont, specifically for the walled rose garden. Mottisfont is a lovely place to visit at any time of the year, but June is the pinnacle of the year there, for me at least.

Our walled gardens are filled with heavenly fragrance and colour from thousands of roses in early summer. We’re home to the National Collection of pre-1900 old-fashioned roses, which reach their peak in June. Visitors flock to see this world-famous display from over five hundred varieties.

Apologies, I'm a little later with hydgg this week as I was shooting by best friends wedding at the weekend (which was all the emotions!) Funnily enough we find ourselves on a Thursday, old, familiar hdygg territory by the time I am getting round to writing this. Maybe it's a sign! I'll keep on adding them on Thursdays from now on then!

Hope everyone has been enjoying the outdoors this week, I certainly plan on getting out a lot more myself next week.
