This weeks HDYGG comes form Grandad's garden, and not that you can hear it but it comes with the background noise of Bertie and Donald the pheasants serenading their lady friends.
I got far too excited to see the first hydrangeas of the year (yes I am still obsessed with them 🙈) and lots of bumble bees tucking into pollen and generally going about their business buzzily. Every time I see one I'm reminded of the slow motion video Gemma took of one where it's wings sound like helicopter blades - really fascinating when you slow it down like that. It also made me hanker honey!
Kitty even asked for a photo climbing a tree in the garden, and it reminded me of ones I used to take on the same tree, but much lower down, when she was little. Now she's growing fast and gaining her own set of values, recently deciding to become vegetarian when we were in India. I can't quite believe how fast our kids are growing up - I notice it more when I look at photos of Lily, I guess it's harder to notice changes when you see your own child every day.
Anyhoo, I digress, grandad's been busy in his garden, sowing seeds and weeding and a lot of the photos this week are of his greenhouse! Hope you are all having a lovely weekend - we're off to Exbury Gardens in a bit and then Mottisfont on Tuesday - fingers crossed all the roses have started to bloom there!
