Sunday gave us perfect Autumnal weather, teaming up blue skies & sunshine with crisp, colder temperatures. Crunchy leaves underfoot for the most part, we couldn't resist heading out for a few hours.
We checked on the National Trust website for places nearby-ish to visit and found Kingston Lacy to be around an hours drive away. Being National Trust members means that we get gain free entry to all the NT properties and that's worked out such a bargain for us this past year as we've visited dozens of places. I've huge love for the National Trust and especially love that they put such effort into finding ways to engage with children.
Before we head to the gardens, indulge me a few photos from the house...
And out into the gardens...
I always think of Claudia when I see orchids, every time, without fail.
^ thought you allotment holders would appreciate that scarecrow!
And just as we headed back to the car, the clouds rolled in. A lovely Sunday spent ambling, playing and eating ice-cream (not to mention playing with cannons!)
Thanks to all who joined in last week, some faves include: Amanda's bargain Victorian Flower Album find & Claudia's colourful look around Sintra. I hope that you've been enjoying this change in seasons as much as I have, until next time garden hounds xx
