Printout is an event being held by the frankly brilliant Stack to celebrate photography in independent magazines. I'll be writing more about Stack over the coming weeks, but in a nutshell, Stack selects the best independent magazines and delivers them direct to your door every month.
Back to Printout, with tickets priced at just £5.95 each, Printout promises to bring you delectable photography at and affordable cost - Buy tickets here.
Here's a tiny sneak peek at what you can expect on the night...
We Are Here. A quarterly travel magazine, takes a lo-fi long form look at a different city or district in each issue. The images in this magazine are shot entirely by iPhone and creator Conor Purcell will be at Printout to talk about why he insists on using his iPhone over conventional cameras.
Pylot is an all-analogue fashion/portraiture magazine, described by Stack as 'a must-read magazine for anyone interested in photography'. Pylot editor-in-chief Max Barnett will be at Printout, talking about the range of photographic styles in the magazine, and why he thinks it’s worth taking the time to get the right shot, in-camera.
Brewster is an Australian magazine which turns archive stereoscopic photography into modern 3D images, literally bringing the past into three dimensions. At Printout creative director Filip Bartkowiak will be revealing his 3D process.
Stack Magazines has also shipped over a selection of special prizes from Australia for audience members to win on the night.
Tuesday 23rd September from 6.30pm
