You’re Beautiful – Eat a dessert spoon of custard powder

Beautiful

Needless to say eating a dessert spoon of custard powder is not easy, but when Kate Takes 5 dished up the challenge I had to accept – and this time I invited the children to join me in the challenge, Queen Scamp is obviously more clever than I as she had the sense to JUST SAY NO. We could all learn a thing or two from her!

Every week Cheetahs in my Shoes holds You’re Beautiful:

What have you seen that’s beautiful today?  Was it a glorious sunrise, a pan of your favourite food cooking, something your child has done, a miracle of nature or just something that other people wouldn’t have stopped to notice but made you think ‘wow’?

Based on the inspiration from this tweet from the Black Dog Tribe on the 3rd January (allegedly the most miserable day of the year) @FollowBDT

All we can do is take one day and one step at a time. We’d love to hear what positive things you are doing today?

Sadly Jenny has been away at a funeral and with an epic 5 hour drive home tonight she’s asked me to step in an ‘look after her baby’. So here I am… I’m not sure the following video qualifies as being ‘beautiful’ but it did make us laugh a fair bit here! If you are joining in this week please link up here - and tell us you’ve done it on Twitter using #yourebeautiful (see below for badge code)

If you get a spare minute this evening why not drop Jenny a tweet @cheetahsinshoes and give her a cyber hug, I think she’ll need it after the past couple of days x

One part proud, one part ashamed. Please apologise to your kids for me – I should have warned you that this was adults only (though Ozzy rolling off the bed in disgust was a nice touch).
Seriously LOVE it. You medal’s in the post :)

We aim to please my dear… the kids were still talking about it at bedtime, I believe the phrase Kit used was “I never want to eat custard powder again. Not ever. Not again mummy. No.”

Well done ‘Saurus, your kids will look back on this moment in 15 years time and be proud.

I remember I used to spoon Nesquik and that Wysoy soya milk powder into my mouth as a kid.

    Them were the days.

Oh the memories! I used to munch Nesquik too – and Horlicks… I wonder if I have any Horlicks in the dark recesses of my cupboards?

One of my ongoing pregnancy craving is chocolate nesquick. I put that much in the milk that the powder is like little puff balls at the top of the milk yum :D I used to eat it by the spoon when I was little aswell lol

I watched this with my little boy as he is quite obsessed with watching you! He said to me “Oh it’s Annie again she is a silly sausage!” and then we watched the video and he literally rolled round on the floor laughing!
