October is a time of seasonal change in the Forest. The final pink heather is turning brown, the ferns from green to gold. The forest floor is strewn with fallen leaves of every colour, acorns and fungi of all shapes and sizes.

I've plans to get out into the forest a lot more this week,  Rhinefield Ornamental Drive in particular - I look forward to reporting back.

We Love Forests runs every Monday for a week. Simply join in as an when with anything forest-based, a day out, a walk, a spot of Photocise, craft, activity and so on.
