I take a lot of photos, mainly of the forest, gardens, flowers, my children. What I have noticed that I don't take many photos of is street life, the everyday comings and goings. So I'm challenging myself to try something new over the next few weeks on days out and my day to day life- take some photos of the streets. Cities, towns, villages, suburbia. They won't all be picture perfect photos of idyllic English hamlets, it's going to be about capturing real life.
Standing in the forest taking photos is easy enough, as is taking photos at a festival whilst wearing a Press Pass but just being out generally in public where there are people milling about means being a bit braver and not being afraid to just snap away and not worry what people will think. Eep.
Photos today were taken in Lymington, not too far from me in the New Forest. We just popped out for a coffee and crab sandwich, as you do. A jolly nice morning indeed, and the discovering of 'apple and raspberry pasties' can only be a positive. It feels kind of nice to be capturing a little slice of the normal.
