Lepe Beach

Shells and pebbles
Shells and pebbles

Strolling along the beach, breathing in the salty sea air, watching your children run ahead, throwing pebbles in to the sea and poking seaweed. Is there a nicer way to spend an afternoon at the weekend?

Lepe Beach

We live just a couple of miles from the beautiful Lepe Beach in the New Forest and it's somewhere where I really enjoy spending time, with the family or even on my own. It's where I walked in early labour when I was expecting Kitty, to get things moving along. That day was wild, windy and rainy, I waddled along one way and then back again, stopping every 8 minutes to rest through contractions. That wasn't the only time I had been on the beach in wilder weather, remember the time I ran into the sea for the Save the Children Blog it for Babies campaign? That was there. Brrr.

This time, it was a warm Autumnal afternoon...
