Hello November, where are you taking me?

I am mentally blocking out the image I saw on Instagram that tells me that there are 7 more Monday's until Christmas and focusing on the month in hand. Usually I get organised in this month, buying the majority of Christmas presents and planning. But this month is a busy month for me, with a few trips to look forward too.  *excited face*

This weekend I'll be in Devon again, this time at a Blogger Retreat at Amberstone Manor hosted by the luxury villa holiday company Oliver's Travels. I'll be there with 7 other bloggers, one of which *grins* will be Tanya. I'm really excited to be finally meeting Aimee there too who is doing a cake demo (and she's told me what she's making and all I can say is 'Yes Yes Yes!' No doubt I will be sharing a photo of that over on Instagram.

Amberstone Manor looks to be such a beautiful venue: "A 19th Century country house, situated in the unspoiled Devon countryside, nestled between Exmoor and Dartmoor. The Amberstone Manor, set in 5 acres of landscaped gardens and 20 acres of river meadows". Oh hello! With plenty of great food and drink promised, the demo from Aimee and plenty of time to relax and explore our surrounding I am going to be in complete and utter heaven. I am loving the free Vamoos app, which keeps the trip documents, maps, weather forecasts and all the info I will need in one place - on my iPhone in my pocket, genius. Roll on Friday!

Mental note to self: Pack a nice frock and a pair of my finest spanx.

Vik, Iceland

Vik, Iceland

Later in the month I will be heading with Al for four days in Iceland. A few weeks ago I discovered I had won from a photo competition run by eBookers which in itself shocked me, but finding out the prize was £1, 000 of travel vouchers was some next-level hysteria. I promptly spent just-under the vouchers worth with a 3 night break in Reykjavik this month and a 3 night break in Krakow in January. I was genuinely suprised to discover that both trips with flights and upgraded hotel rooms came in at under a grand.  So very happy (obvs) and Iceland will be super special as it's where we spent our honeymoon 8 years ago. Having done the generic Golden Circle and Northern Lights tour back then this year we are planning on hiring a car to explore a bit ourselves. I am on a mission to get to this spot in Vik - just look at it! *heart flutters* Mental note to self: Hurry up and order the new camera (I am moving to Nikon) so it's ready to take.

Last, but not least, I'm heading away for a night or too 'up Norf' in Yorkshire with some of the Folklings / Folk ladies here, thanks to Canopy & Stars. Very much looking forward to spending time with Gemma, Emma, Elizabeth, Jen, Katie and Sarah. I have met Emma and Elizabeth before at The Good Life Experience 2014  but not the other ladies. We all have a lot in common already, it's going to be a joy to spend time together, walking, talking, photo taking, relaxing, cooking and so on.

Mental note to self: Buy self new non-holey pyjamas.

Christmas is going to wait until December, but fear not I will be allllll over it then!
