Good morning garden hounds. This weeks photos are from a trip last week to my mothers. I've been slow to share these as I'm sandwiched between two weekends of festivals and you know how it is - get home - battle mountains of laundry - unpack - then repack it all...

My Mum has been busy in her garden, a new lawn to care for (not that I actually took any photos of that *sigh*) Here are some photos of her garden at the moment...

She's been busy making these succulent / alpine planters. The stone troughs are cheap, newly made cement ones, taken from an original cast. My mum let the chap who makes these lighter-weight new replicas borrow her old original stone one as a cast and had a few of the newly made one in return. I think they look fab. This one below stands on an old sewing machine table base.

Whilst in the summerhouse she's been busy taking cuttings from succulents and planting them up, destined for future planters I'm sure.

Ending on a different, but still connected note, these books are fantastic. I've loads of images from them to come next week, but here's a taster to leave you with...

Thanks to all who joined in last week, some faves include: How Emma's plot is growing, Gemma's urban garden space, Sam's look at the wonderful town allotment, Charmaine's visit to the Minack Theatre and how Fennels & Fern's dream garden has been growing (which joined in late last week so I've re-added it today).
