Yesterday I finally got round to doing something that I've been promising myself since my birthday - buying a years membership to local Exbury Gardens. By becoming a 'Friend of Exbury Gardens' for a mere £45 for a year I can now enjoy unlimited entrance to the Gardens, rides on the steam train, a discount on plant sales , discounts to 'Walks','Talks' and 'Workshops' held in the Gardens and invitations to their Five Arrows Gallery exhibition launches. I am going to be there a LOT -all photos this week are from there.

Mooching about for an hour this afternoon, the springy mossy grass underfoot made me daydream of Summertime to come, of escaping there when the children are at school with a drawing pad and camera. I've had a much needed sense of calm there today. The mayhem of the Team Honk relay is almost behind me now and I feel a little lost, it's been a big part of day-to-day life for nearly 3 months so I guess that's only natural.

Thanks to anyone who nominated me in the Best Blog Photography category in the MAD Blog Awards recently, I'm chuffed to say that I'm a finalist, along with some other good blogging friends, including our very own HDYGG PODCast. Voting is now open to decide who wins, if you haven't already voted you can do so here.

Thanks to all who joined in last week, I notice more people are getting inspired as the good weather begins, this makes me very happy. Faves from last week include: Thoughtful garden appreciation, Pull a weed lose a worry, Claudia's pots, a sea of blue and yellow, the secret garden, sprouting seedlings and building a vegetable trough.

This time next week it'll be APRIL!
